Alexander’s Garden Restaurant Celebrates 30 Years of Culinary Excellence with a Season-Long Series of Special Events

30th anniversary celebration series reflects both the restaurant’s journey and the Naples community that has supported it for three decades

Naples, Fla. (August 12, 2025) — One of Naples’ most treasured dining destinations, Alexander’s Garden Restaurant is turning 30 in 2025-2026 and will mark the milestone with a season-long 30th Anniversary Celebration Series from October 2025 through May 2026. From a lavender-themed luncheon to hands-on cooking classes, elegant wine dinners and fun-themed evenings, the anniversary season will honor three decades of local flavor and invite guests to toast memories, meals and milestones.

Founded in 1995 by husband-and-wife team Alexander and Monika Bernard, who named the restaurant after their son, Alexander’s Garden Restaurant began as an indoor diner and coffee shop tucked away in an alcove off U.S. 41. “There was no lush patio, gazebo, or terrace; we only offered indoor dining,” recalls Chef Alex. Since then, Alexander’s Garden Restaurant has tripled its dining space with a sought-after garden patio and private gazebo. The restaurant has evolved into a multi-generational gathering place where long-time patrons still clamor for signature dishes like Maine lobster bisque, macadamia nut-crusted grouper and crispy duck with sweet potato flan and lingonberries.

“Naples has grown so much over the past 30 years, and we’ve grown along with it,” adds Monika Bernard. “We’ve hosted anniversaries, weddings — even a few proposals — and now we’re seeing second and third generations return with their families. It’s humbling to be such a lasting part of people’s lives.”

Legends from 30 Years

“We can’t commemorate our 30 years without a celebration of the pillar of our restaurant, Teresa Simon. She has been with us since day one, has never missed a day, and works both lunch and dinner,” says Chef Alex. He notes that regulars are fans of her specialties like the restaurant’s famous key lime pie with white chocolate Chantilly crème; flourless chocolate cake with almond grenache, and three-berry pie. Teresa Simon also creates the restaurant’s beloved chicken salad, zucchini-carrot bread, and house-made dressings.

“After 30 years, we still offer the dishes our regulars demand and every time we’ve tried to take one off, we’ve heard about it!” Chef Alex continued. Popular menu mainstays are the duck liver pate with pepper jelly and Dijon mustard; roasted beet salad; Caesar salad; crispy duck with lingonberries; macadamia nut-crusted grouper with mango beurre blanc, and the seafood risotto.
With a legacy built on quality, consistency and care, Alexander’s Garden Restaurant remains a cornerstone of the Naples dining scene. Locals are invited to mark their calendars and join in a season-long celebration that reflects both the restaurant’s journey and the community that has supported it for three decades.
